Yay! open class is over!

Okay so this week was super stressful and busy.  I had open class in which my kids need to look perfect for their parents.  My baby class did great! They had open class with Kevin (secondary teacher) even though I wrote the script and prepared everything for it.  It was frustrating.  My older kids Edison did amazing! They had to put on a play.  There is only 2 in that class and it had to be about the hospital.  Therefore Philip (main teacher) and I (secondary teacher) also acted in it! It was really funny and cute! They did amazing and I am so so proud of both of my classes.
I have a couple of photos of Davinci after open class at the Dream Park on the roof of our building.

Jennifer take 1. She covered my face.

Jennifer and I take 2. lol I love this lil girl.
When Jennifer saw me when she came to school on open class day she grabbed my dress and told me "Tara Teacher yepoda" mean Tara Teacher pretty.  It was really cute!
Oh another side story about my baby class one of the students, Joey, asked to go to the bathroom 10 minutes after they had just come back. Kevin Teacher told him no and then a minute later he raised his hand again and told Kev, "Kevin Teacher pee pee coming soon!" When I heard this story I laughed and Kevin had to keep from laughing.  Joey is probably the smartest in my class and I love him dearly.  lol

Okay other then that I booked my tickets to Japan for my week vacation.  I am going to spend 3 days in Tokyo and 3 days in Kyoto (where my grandma is from).  I am super excited because I have always wanted to go and now I am going for about $500 for tickets and hostels.  I am going to Leah so I won't be alone.  I also got tickets to see my favorite K-pop group.  In case you are wondering just how popular SHINee is the tickets were sold out for both day in less than 9 minutes.  Yes that fast!!! Anyways July is going to be a busy month for me and I am super excited.

I think I maybe getting sick again!!! Oh no!!! Stupid stress cold!!! All the doctors and Koreans I know tell me to drink warm water.  I hate drinking warm water here, because to be honest I miss the taste of Colorado water.  The water here tastes dirty. (I really don't know how else to describe it).  I am making out worse then it is, but it isn't like the water back home. When I drink water from the tap here I really miss water from home.  Sounds dumb to miss water right? lol okay anyways, I am going to go to bed! I hope everyone is well! Besos!

Lately I've been boring... lol

Okay so it was a super long week for me this week.  I had 3 12 hour days in a row.  So I was really tired. I got a pamphlet from one of my students this week that she had written on saying "Tera Tr I love you and I lover" lol what that means I don't know but the best part is that on the pamphlet it said "Happy Mother's Day".  It made me laugh because this class is the one that calls me "Tara Teacher Mommy".  Why? I don't know but it was funny. Anyways, I hung out with the teachers this weekend and found out my vacation for the summer.  I am going to go to Japan for my break with one of the other teachers.  I am super excited because if you don't know my grandma is from Japan.  I am going to go to Tokyo and Kyoto (which is where she is from).  I have always wanted to go and now I am so I am super excited! Umm... okay other then that I have open classes this week so I am worried about that but hopefully my kids do well. Hmm... okay that is all I have. Time for me to go to bed since I have work in the morning!  Oh and Happy Father's Day to my dad!!! You are the best dad ever and I miss you! Besos!

Another quick update...

Okay so not too much happened this week.  I have been busy with my classes since open classes are coming up and parents will come a watch.  I am the main teacher for my baby class, but for some weird reason my boss wants the secondary teacher to teach open class even though I wrote the script and did everything for it.  Weird but I have no choice in the matter so it kind of sucks.  Oh and two of my kids are sick.  Joey has hand, foot and mouth disease and Lumi has the chicken pox. My poor babies!!! I feel so bad for Joey.  :( Oh also got my hair trimmed by one of the other foreign teachers. I bring this up because I want to tell you all a quick story about Joey.  So Joey is the oldest in my baby class and takes care of everyone including me.  He is always telling me to be careful and what not.  Anyways Haris has been telling me lately that Joey is my son because of the way he follows me around and loves to talk to me and what not.  At first I was like okay whatever, and now I believe it is true.  So like I said I got my hair trimmed and not much either.  I went to school the next day and Joey had gotten his bangs cut so I asked him if he did and took my hair and pretended to cut it with my figures.  So he answered me saying "yes teacher."  That day I wore my hair in braided pig tails and he comes up to me and grabs one of my braids and asks "you too teacher?" I was so socked that he even noticed because it really wasn't noticeable.  I can't believe this kid noticed so I guess he really is like my kid.  All I can say is this kid is going to make a great boyfriend/husband one day.  The other female foreign teachers agree with me.
Okay so I got some photos this week from Alice from the wedding I went to so I will post them here.  Also went to eat Shabu Shabu again except this time it was Korean style so I'll post that picture as well.

Okay that is all I have for now.  I am super tired so I am off to bed.  Besos!

A very short post

Well this week was pretty boring for me.  I didn't do much but work.  My older class has to put on a play so I have been working on that with them. As for my baby class they are doing open classes on the body.  I have been teaching them about the body and we are going to make a lung model on the day of open classes.  Hmm... other then that I just have been hanging out with the other teachers and trying to relax before work becomes crazy again.  So yeah they only funny thing that happened this week was that one of my students saw me at Lotte Mart getting food and a little boy kept talking to us (foreign teachers) when we went to eat chicken the other night.  He ran up to us with his sister, said hello in English then hid behind his sister saying "noona etoke?" (translation meaning older sister what should I do?)  I then said hello to him in English.  He came back about 4 more times to which I said hello in Korean (informally because it would have been funny to him if I did it formally) and he stopped and was in shock and said hello in Korean formally to me (as he should since I am older).  It was really cute.  Oh one last thing that was funny.  One of my friends kept getting calls from a Korean woman and she answered in English told her that she had the wrong number and hung up.  This lady kept calling so finally on the forth time (in the a row) I took her phone and answered in Spanish.  I confused the lady so much because she kept saying hello in Korean and finally after saying hello twice in Spanish I started just asking questions in Spanish.  The lady just hung up and stopped calling my friend.  It was really funny to Leah and I because she told the lady 3 times in English she had the wrong number and she kept saying okay. Leah was getting annoyed that she wouldn't stop calling.  I don't blame her I would too.  Anyways, I have learned that if I keep getting annoying calls I am just going to start talking in Spanish. It was pretty funny.  Okay now I am just rambling.  Sorry I am tired! I guess it is time for bed! So I hope everyone is well! Besos!!!
